Tour to Sorata – San Pedro’s Cavern – Chilata Lagoon

SORATA

Sorata is a valley that is known for the beauty of its natural environment – located on the slopes of the majestic snow-capped mountain of Illampu – one of the highest mountains in the Andes mountain range.

  • It is located at a height of 2,677 meters above sea level.
  • It is located 170 kilometers from the city of La Paz.
  • It is a small valley town surrounded by hills that still contains colonial houses, narrow cobbled streets, and huge gardens of different flowers.
  • We can visit the Cavern of San Pedro which is located 7 kilometers from Sorata – a natural cavern inhabited by a variety of bats. Inside the cave, there is a small lake; according to the local people, this lake is connected to the Imperial city of Cusco.
  • The hand-craftsman of fabrics is relevant to population – so, you can find sweaters, hats, gloves, and panels or paintings crafted into fabric and sporting beautiful landscapes and finely-finished native features that are very characteristic of the area.

If you would be interested in visiting this beautiful place, we have prepared for you a tour package with the assistance of experts so that you would be able to enjoy a wonderful experience.
